If you are concerned about the impact that the closure due to the 'snow' will have on your childs education, the following suggestions have been compiled by

Camolin National School.

 

There is no obligation for any pupil or guardian to complete this work.

This is an option for those who wish to avail of it.

Junior and Senior Infants.

 

Read a story/book.

Write a sentence or two/three (Senior Infants) and draw a picture about

'My Days Off in the Snow'

1st and 2nd Class.

Write a diary entry and draw a picture about 'My Days Off in the Snow'.

 

Write some Maths problems about the Snow, e.g. Ms. Bolger threw 13 snowballs

and Ms. Morris threw 17. How many did they throw altogether?

Senior Classes 3rd - 6th.

 

Read a chapter of a book/novel.

Write a diary entry about 'My days off from school in the Snow'.

 

Complete an acrostic poem on 'SNOWFLAKES' i.e. write the letters down

vertically and come up with a snow related word for each letter.

e.g. Soft, Nice, Outside... etc.

 

Make a list of 10 food items noting their weight in Kg or g and list them in

order starting with the lightest (3rd & 4th Class).

 

Complete the relevent sections in you mental maths book.

(5th & 6th Class).

 

Revise Tables - Spellings.

 

Gaeilge:

Write a few sentences about the snow and what you are doing on your days off.

(Use your Verb Sheet).
